ENERGY MANAGEMENT POLICY
As Kuzey Star Shipyard, we aim to manage energy consumption in our activities by a systematic approach, to ensure efficient use of resources and to reduce energy costs consequently. In this respect, we aim to establish, implement and maintain an energy management system that aims to continuously improve energy performance and efficiency.
In order to achieve these goals and objectives, as Kuzey Star Shipyard, we undertake an effective, inclusive, realistic and integrated energy management approach in line with the following principles;
To fulfill our obligations arising from all legal requirements and contracts,
To set measurable targets that will increase energy efficiency in our activities, to monitor targets periodically and to continuously improve energy performance,
To take opportunities for performance improvement and operational controls in the design of new, modified and refurbished facilities, equipment, systems and energy-using processes that can have a significant impact on energy performance into consideration,
To report our constantly monitored energy performance periodically and share it with our internal and external stakeholders,
To consider energy efficiency in product and service purchases,
To ensure that the resources and information required for the fulfillment of all these purposes and objectives are available and accessible,
To increase the energy awareness of our employees and stakeholders, to raise awareness by using internal communication methods regarding to the consumption and efficient use of energy resources,
We assure upon regularly reviewing and updating our energy policy management when necessary in the light of technological or sectoral developments.
