Kuzey Star Shipyard embarked on its first conversion project in December 2021. The vessel, originally an offshore service ship named Grıp Marine, was built in 2012 in Norway, measuring 86 meters in length and 18 meters in width. It was transformed into a Live Fish Carrier (Wellboat). During the conversion process of the Grıp Marine, which was originally built as an Open Sea Support vessel, 255 tons of pipes, including galvanized, stainless steel, and fish pipes, were laid and assembled with special couplings.
The vessel was equipped with an ozone oxygen system, RSW system, RO system, and vacuum chamber system. Additionally, two units of movable partitions made of 20 tons of stainless steel were installed. The vessel also features up to 200 electrical cabinets and eight main circulation system pumps with a capacity of 3500 cubic meters each.
