Kuzey Star Shipyard continues to realize big projects. In August last year, the Ro-Ro ship named Marshal Rokossovsky, the first of the largest ships built in Turkey in the twin ships class, was built and launched with the experienced team of Kuzey Star Shipyard. General Chernyakhovsky, the second largest ship built in this class, was also launched with a ceremony.

THE SECOND LARGEST SHIP BUILT IN THE TWIN SHIPS CLASS
General Chernyakhovsky and Marshal Rokossovsky, the largest ships produced in Turkey in the twin ship class, are 200 meters long and 27 meters wide. The ship, which will successfully transport cargo such as ships, automobiles, trucks, etc., will operate on LNG fuel.

TWO SHIPS HAD BEEN AGREED FOR
In his speech at the launching ceremony of the General Chernyakhovsky ship, Tuncay İmral, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuzey Star Shipyard, said that the project was carried out with the Russian Federation in 2018 and a contract was signed to build 2 LNG-powered Ro-Ro ships. He said that the ships built as Kuzey Star Shipyard successfully met the sea.

"THANKS TO MY TEAM WHO WORKED WITH GREAT DEVOTION"
Tuncay İmral, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuzey Star Shipyard, said during the ceremony: "We launched the first ship of the series, Marshal Rokossovsky, in August last year. Today we are launching its sister ship, General Chernyakhovsky. We launched the first ship 12 months after we put it on the slipway, and we are launching this ship 7 months after we put the first block on the slipway. I would like to thank our team who worked with great devotion during the pandemic process.
