Continuing to break new grounds at full speed, Kuzey Star Shipyard launched the Marshal Rokossovsky, the largest ship in the twin ship category in Turkey. The Ro-Ro ship named Marshal Rokossovsky, built for Russian FSUE Rosmorport, was launched with a magnificent event.
DESIGNED FOR UST-LUGA-BALTIYSK LINE
The ship, which will be used by the Russian FSUE Rosmorport company on the Ust-Luga-Baltiysk line, was built by the experienced team of North Star Shipyard. The 27.40 meter wide Ro-Ro ship has a crew of 24. With a dead weight of 11,062 T, the ship can reach a speed of 16.5 Knot.
SHIP OF FIRSTS MARSHAL ROKOSSOVSKY
Marshal Rokossovsky is the first and largest ship to be built in Turkey in the twin ship category. Marshal Rokossovsky is also the first Ro-Ro ship in Russia to operate on LNG. The ship will be used for the transportation of cars, trucks and lorries. In addition, the ship is also built for wagon transportation.
SHIP'S TWIN ON THE WAY
Marshal Rokossovsky is scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of 2021, while General Chernyakhovsky, the second Ro-Ro for the same company, is currently under construction at Kuzey Star Shipyard.
