Kuzey Star Shipyard's new floating dry dock in Suezmax dimensions arrived in Turkey from Korea with the heavy cargo transportation vessel Boka Vanguard. Continuing its facility investments, Kuzey Star Shipyard is increasing its pool capacity. The shipyard, which has been serving with 2 pools of 13 thousand tons and 22 thousand tons so far, has invested in a new floating dock in order to serve larger ships. With the new pool added to the shipyard, Suezmax ships will also be able to be docked.
The third pool of Kuzey Star Shipyard, which came to Turkey from Korea with the world's largest heavy cargo transport ship Boka Vanguard, is 300 meters long and has an internal width of 52 meters. In addition to two cranes with a lifting capacity of 20 tons, two more cranes with a capacity of 40 tons will be added to the pool to ensure that customers receive better, safer and faster service. The new pool with 45 thousand tons of lifting capacity is planned to be put into service in January 2022 at Kuzey Star Shipyard facilities.
