Kuzey Star Shipyard Starts First Transformation Project

The 2012-built 86-meter long and 18-meter wide offshore support vessel Grip Marine, which has been serving as an offshore service vessel in Norway, will be converted into a live fish transport vessel at Kuzey Star Shipyard.

During the conversion works that started at the facilities of Kuzey Star Shipyard, 255 tons of pipes including galvanized, stainless steel and fish pipes will be laid on the ship and these will be mounted with special couplings. Ozone oxygen system, RSW system, RO system, vacuum chamber system will also be installed on the ship.

In addition, within the scope of the project, two units of 20 tons of stainless steel moving partitions will be installed. 8 3500 cbm main circulation system pumps will be installed on the ship, where up to 200 electrical cabinets will be installed.
