Algeria's Hyproc Shipping turned to Turkey for the maintenance of its ships for the first time. The company's LPG ships, Berga II and Rhourd El Fares, underwent maintenance at Kuzey Star Shipyard. The ships received comprehensive maintenance and repair, from their engines to electrical systems, and left Turkey after being repainted. Another LPG tanker from the same company, Rhourd El Adra, is scheduled to enter maintenance at Kuzey Star Shipyard later this month. Kouider Aidoun, Fleet Manager of Hyproc Shipping, who accompanied the operations, said, "We thank Kuzey Star for their highly experienced services. We hope to see you again soon." The Algerian-flagged ships Berga II and Rhourd El Fares, measuring 174.2 meters in length and 28.3 meters in width, were built in 2010.
