Continuing its facility investments, Kuzey Star Shipyard is increasing its pool capacity. The shipyard, which has been serving with two pools of 13,000 tons and 22,000 tons so far, has invested in a new floating dock to be able to serve larger-sized vessels as well. With the addition of the new pool to the shipyard, Suezmax vessels will also be able to be docked. The third pool of Kuzey Star Shipyard, which came from Korea to Turkey with the world's largest heavy-lift transport vessel, Boka Vanguard, is 300 meters long and has an inner width of 52 meters. In addition to two cranes with a lifting capacity of 20 tons, two more cranes with a capacity of 40 tons will be added to the pool to ensure customers receive better, safer, and faster service. The new pool, with a lifting capacity of 45,000 tons, is planned to be operational at Kuzey Star Shipyard facilities in January 2022.
